Guangzhou Chimelong: Routes for One or Two Days

Choose a ride-heavy day, a water-park visit or an animal-focused route at Guangzhou Chimelong, with ways to add the circus and plan a two-day stay.

Guangzhou Chimelong’s parks offer quite different days. Paradise is about rides, the Water Park needs time and energy of its own, and Safari Park and Birds Park centre on animals. Choose the kind of day you want before combining tickets. Trying to collect every attraction is less useful than arranging an entrance, a sensible direction through the park and a comfortable finish.

Use the routes below with the current park map. Ride availability, height restrictions, performances, shuttles and opening hours can change. Check the actual arrangements before travelling, especially if a circus performance is the fixed point of the evening.

Paradise and the circus: a full day with one direction

Allow a whole day for Chimelong Paradise. The major rides can involve substantial queues and repeated climbing, walking and waiting. A south-entrance-to-north-exit plan provides a useful overall direction and puts the finish on the circus side.

For thrill rides, the route runs from the dive coaster towards the Pegasus family coaster, the giant swinging pendulum and free-fall ride, then the 4D cinema and U-shaped skateboard ride. It continues through the ten-inversion coaster, spinning storm ride, motorcycle coaster and rocket coaster before the north exit. Use this as an ordered set of choices, not an obligation to ride everything regardless of queues.

The International Circus can follow in the evening. Check the performance time, admission and the walking connection from Paradise; do not assume a park ticket includes the show. Compare any available combined ticket with the visits you actually intend to make.

A family route through Paradise

A family-oriented route also starts in the south. It links the observation wheel, bouncing tower, spinning water boats and Pegasus family coaster before the forest-temple and space-battle attractions. The water chute, carousel and Flying Tigers lead towards the children’s play area, rocking house, Time Castle, Cookie Factory and Circus Town, finishing in the north.

The point is to cluster family attractions rather than repeatedly crossing the park. Check suitability for each child and alternate rides with breaks. An evening circus visit can complete the day, but only if everyone still has the energy for it.

Give the Water Park its own day

The Water Park is large enough for a full day. Start at the main entrance and changing-and-shower area, then build a loop rather than returning to the entrance between rides. One sequence takes in the giant bowl, giant python slide and family water-play town, followed by the rocking wheel, adventure river, centrifugal and cobra slides.

Continue with the wave pool and large funnel ride, then the vertical-drop, jungle and large skateboard-style attractions before the beach area. Mix the larger rides with gentler sections and rest. If an evening electronic-music show is scheduled, it can provide a finish before changing, but seasonal night sessions should be checked rather than assumed.

Safari Park: enter in the north and work south

Safari Park can pair with the circus on an animal-focused day, although it is still a large area to cover. A north-to-south route starts with the sightseeing train, then links the dinosaur forest, rainforest and snake areas, animal nursery and tiger hill. Continue towards the giraffes, koalas, Asian elephants and pandas, then the 4D cinema, African forest and flamingo island before leaving in the south.

Starting with the train can keep the route coherent, but does not guarantee a short wait. Check the onward connection to the circus after the south exit, including whether a resort shuttle is available and where it stops.

Three ways to reduce walking at Safari Park

The aerial cableway offers views above the animal areas. Its circuit connects the Swan Lake, African Grassland and Panda Paradise stations. The elevated perspective differs from the walking paths; some cabins have transparent floors.

The sightseeing train passes landscapes themed around Australian forest, American jungle, West Asian desert, South Asian rainforest, European mountains, wilderness, the South African plateau and East African grasslands. Commentary accompanies the ride. Allow roughly forty minutes for the ride itself, with queueing in addition.

A self-drive route offers another way through those themed animal landscapes. Check current vehicle admission and the required ticket before arriving by car. Vehicle-based visits reduce some walking, but do not replace every pedestrian section. Treat feeding as a separately regulated activity only where staff explicitly permit it.

Birds Park: a shorter animal visit

Birds Park is a half-day option rather than another full ride-park day. A route can begin with the wetland area and flamingos, then continue to the crested ibis forest, Swan Lake and the aviary areas. Build any bird performances around the current show timetable, leaving time to look at the animals between them.

The later part of the route includes hippos, pelicans, the crocodile area, bird-discovery exhibits, animal nursery, children’s play area and the final corridor. A boat-exploration attraction has previously been suspended, so do not build the visit around it unless its operation is confirmed.

How to use two days

Put Paradise or the Water Park on day one, followed by the circus if the schedule and energy allow. An overnight at Chimelong Hotel or Chimelong Panda Hotel can simplify movement within the resort. Confirm the exact walking routes, shuttle arrangements and ticket benefits attached to your booking.

Day two can combine a morning at Birds Park with a selective afternoon at Safari Park, using the train or cableway where useful. Check the inter-park transfer first. If Safari Park’s wider range of animals is the priority, give it the day and leave Birds Park for another visit. This keeps the two-day plan from undoing the time and walking it was meant to save.
